After looking at the impact of the weather we have had and anticipating the weather we are still yet to get, we have opted to cancel or postpone the following activities on Sunday, Jan 31 at NSCofC.
1. Bible classes and assembly - Canceled for Jan 31. The elders will address the congregation on Sun, Feb 7 during our normally scheduled assembly.
2. POM Potluck - Canceled. Next POM is Sun, Feb 28.
3. Financial Peace University - Postponed to begin on Sun, Feb 7 at 4pm.
In our memory, we have never had to cancel two Sun assemblies in one winter season. We don't like doing this.
Please take the time to call someone else and offer them your thoughts, maybe have a prayer with them, and share some kind words.
We do NOT plan to have the teleconference that we did a few weeks ago - it did not seem to serve the purpose it was meant to serve. Maybe in the future we will have a different way of being together virtually that is a bit more conducive to large groups.
Again, it is unfortunate that we feel compelled to do this but for the sake of your safety and peace of mind we think canceling and postponing is the best thing to do.
